Our Physiotherapists use ultrasound primarily for the treatment of low back pain and for pelvic floor rehabilitation. We can visualize the location, size and composition of deeper muscles in the abdominal and lumbar area. It can also be used as a form of biofeedback so that both the patient and therapist can see muscles contracting in real time.
It is used as a biofeedback tool so that both the patient and therapist can see muscles contracting in real time. Primarily used for pelvic floor, abdominal and lumbar spine muscles.
Real-time ultrasound imaging is a tool used by physiotherapists to visualize deep muscle contractions in real time that normally cannot be visualized with the human eye.
Ultrasound machines use sound waves to generate images of structures deep within the body that would otherwise be difficult to see.
